Letter From Mrs Coupe March 2018

Dear Parents and carers,

What a busy week!

We had our visitors from Ofsted on Wednesday.  I would like to thank you for completing the Parentview survey and your many positive comments and kind words of support.

We then had a wonderful afternoon yesterday.

The Easter Service was lovely.  The children were fantastic and told the Easter story so well.  All the classes were involved and the singing was beautiful.

Well done to everyone and a very big thank you to Miss Parkin for organising it all.

We then came back to school for coffee and cakes and a fantastic raffle organised by our newly formed Friends group.  The Friends have worked so hard.  Everything looked beautiful and I was overwhelmed by the generosity shown with all the fabulous donations.

A phenomenal amount of £ 913 has been raised since the Friends first met on 6th February! It's incredible! Thank you so much.

The Friends will also be writing to you but I wanted to say Wow and a huge thank you to them and to you.

We also had the egg decorating competition. The winning eggs were chosen by Paula Martin, our Chair of Governors.

The winners are….

All the winners have received an Easter egg bought by the Friends group.

So what other eggsciting things are still to come before the end of term?

The football team played Farmilo Primary last night and they have two matches next week, so they're very busy. Many thanks to Mr Wathall for organising these.  Golf is cancelled on Thursday 29th March.

There will be no choir on Thursday 29th March, but will restart after the Easter holidays.

We also have an Easter Egg Hunt.  Another big thank you to the Friends for providing the prizes for this too.

It has been a very busy first term for me at St Mary's, but I have really enjoyed it and thank you all for making me so welcome.

I hope you have a lovely Easter holiday.

Best wishes
