A warm welcome to Mrs Ilett-Coupe who has completed her first term here at St Mary's.
WORLD BOOK DAY
Thursday 1st March we will be taking part in the National World Book Day. Children can dress up as their favourite book character.

We will be having Laura, a representative from Usborne books in the school hall from 2.45pm, children will be given a book token which can be used towards payment of any books they may wish to purchase.
Please send your child with some money in a named envelope on the day.
With thanks to the 'Friends of St Mary's' for their help with arranging this for the children.
Whats happening this term?
Class 1 & 2 will be going on their trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Wednesday 14th March.
Class 3 will be enjoying a Roman's day on Thursday 1st March when Partake Theatre will be coming into school where children will Discover Roman dress, armour and weaponry.
Wednesday 28th March Mrs Bee will be holding a parent/carer/child Art workshop-more details to follow...
Stay and Play in Foundation Stage will be moving to a Thursday morning due to other school commitments.
Mrs Sambrook will be continuing with her Maths activity morning on a Tuesday morning with parents and carers.
PE days after half term will be on the following days, please ensure children have their PE kit in school on these days.

Our Easter Service will be on Thursday 22 March at 2pm at St Mary's Church. We do hope you will all join us, followed by coffee in school.
The Friends of St Mary's will also be doing activities around Easter, more information to
follow-look out for the poster's round the school.

Dogs are not allowed anywhere in the school site. This NCC rule includes the drive, the path and definitely the playground.
Thank you for your co-operation with this.
If your child is absent from school, please contact the school office before the close of register's at 9.15am.
If your child is absent due to sickness or diarrhoea, the recommended period to be kept away from school is 48hours since the last episode.
Breakfast Club & After School Club
As both clubs are flourishing, can you please ensure places are booked beforehand and payments are made promptly to secure your place as we would hate to disappoint parents if we are unable to provide the childcare on the day. Please ensure your child/ren are collected promptly.

FRIENDS OF ST MARY'S
The first meeting was held on the 6th February, thank you to all those who attended and to those who couldn't attend but sent along so many good idea's!
The next meeting will be on Tuesday 27th February at 6.00pm in school. We will be asking for nominations for the committee at this meeting and then sending out voting slips for everyone after that. We do hope you will support the Friends Group, either by attending meetings or volunteering to help at events. All involvement however much or little will be greatly appreciated.
