Goodbye from the School Council of 2015 - 2016

Thank you and good bye from the School Council of 2015/2016

Well, we have already come to the end of our year as School Councillors.  During our term of office we have met every week, developed a 'constitution' (rules to follow) set agenda's followed minutes and…

  • Designed, purchased and put in use the schools 'Buddy Bench'

  • Tasty Tuck Shop every Friday break

  • Published newsletters

  • Meet with the Chair of Edwinstowe PCC

  • Made suggestions for new play park on Fourth Avenue - and had them implemented!

  • Held 'Name the Puppy' competitions

  • Held cakes sales

  • Organised book exchanges

  • Raised sufficient funds to sponsor a "trio of guide dog puppies"

  • Questioned the Chair of Newark & Sherwood District Council on what it's like to be a real life councillor

  • Listened to all your concerns

  • Put forward all your suggestions.  We've had a new school pet in Class 1 and Art Club for EYFS!

  • Raised £228 for Children in Need

  • All been involved in the decorating of the School Christmas Tree - even making our own decorations!

The things we have enjoyed most about being on the School Council are: our weekly meetings, supporting charities and representing our class mates.

If you are interested, why don't you have a go and stand for election next year!

Thank you from

Mollie, Jacob, Catie, Isaac, Bethany, Freya & Phoebe
